What Is Abdominoplasty Surgery

Yazan: admin Tarih: May 19th, 2009 | Kategori:: Cosmetic Surgery

Abdominoplasty surgery, commonly known as a tummy tuck surgery, is a procedure designed to make the stomach firmer by removing extra fat and skin from the lower and middle abdomen. Patients with loose tissue after pregnancy or who undergo severe weight loss usually opt for a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty surgery.

Abdominoplasty surgery is usually categorized as partial or total with the latter typically lasting twice as long in the operation theater. Women who are planning to have children and people who plan to reduce weight through exercise and dieting are generally discouraged from receiving abdominoplasty surgery. It’s important to remember that tummy tuck surgery can cause prominent and permanent scars. Laser treatment and ointments can help reduce the scarring, but even with these treatments, the incisions are usually still visible.

Some even suggest we dump everything and start talking of Global Health (as if healthcare has not been global for ages)…….I do not like the “tourism” word – but neither do I like the several suggested alternatives”

Universal health care is far more than a political catch phrase in the United States.  For some, it could mean the difference between having and not having health care.  According to the US Census Bureau, at least 47 million Americans were uninsured in 2006.  With the economic crisis that has ballooned since then, that number may be even higher.  Job loss, corporate cutbacks, and inflated costs have forced people to reevaluate their health care status.  Questions like “How much do dental caps cost,” don’t even generate discussion.  The answer, without a thought is, “It doesn’t matter, I can’t afford it.”
